If you're a people watcher, you'll enjoy Fat Tuesday in Coconut Grove. At the center of CocoWalk on the second level, this open-air bar is a great place to watch the Grove's nightlife crowd.

This bar is a local favorite, with tasty daiquiris specialties and a full bar to quench your thirst. DJs spin top-40 tunes and other crowd-pleasers.

Enjoy $6 daiquiris every night in a complementary Fat Tuesday cup. For an extra dollar, add a house shot to your drink in a test-tube-shaped container. Dollar Jell-O shots and dollar house tequila, vodka, rum and gin may be Miami's most affordable options.

The most popular Fat Tuesday daquiri is the 190 Octane, made with 190 Grain Spirits and orange flavor — it's tasty and strong. Rum Runners are also a favorite in the Florida Keys, and Fat Tuesdays' are made with cranberry, blackberry, banana, lime juice, and of course, rum.

Universal frozen favorites like the margarita, strawberry daquiri, sex on the beach and piña colada are tasty on a warm Miami night.

If you're thirsty on Thursday, you'll find great beer specials at Fat Tuesday. Two bucks buys a 12-ounce Heineken, Heineken Light or Corona, a 16-ounce Bud, Bud Light, Bud Light Lime or Michelob Ultra. The 12-ounce Bud Light is just $1.

Pop in for a drink before or after dinner in the Grove. There's never a cover at this chilled-out bar, though there's usually a cool crowd.

Other locations at Key West, Bayside Marketplace, Miami Beach and Fort Lauderdale.

Check out the online drink menu, and then check with your nearest Fat Tuesday location to make sure they have your drink of choice.
