Sep 21, 2009

This open air shopping center in downtown Miami is nuzzled up against the bay. Bayfront Park and Bayside Marketplace draw in many locals and visitors every day. Meet your friends for shopping or dining after Bayfront's free yoga. Bayside has live music by the water almost every day, and you'll probably see people dancing later at night.

Dining options at Bayside include Hard Rock Cafe, Bubba Gump Shrimp Co., Latin American Cafeteria, Chili's, Hooters, The Knife, Lombardi's Restaurant, Los Ranchos and more. Several restaurants, like Hard Rock and The Knife, have waterfront seating.

Bayside has lots of shopping. Between Gap, Baby Gap, Victoria's Secret, Wet Seal, Cache, Havana Nines, FYE Music, Claire's, Brookstone, Sketcher's, Clark's, Foot Locker, Splash Perfumes, Erwin Pearl Jewelry, The Disney Store, Express, Hat Shack and Sunglass Hut, you should find all the clothing and accessories you need. Other cool stores like Passage to India, Orient Station and Chispa de la Vida carry specialty clothing and accessories with a lot of flair.

Several touristy shops in the center of Bayside's bottom level are the perfect place to pick up a souvenir for friends and family. Find Miami Beach shot glasses, picture frames, lighters, colorful t-shirts, posters and much more. Find a flashy swimsuit to wear to the beach and a fun hat to keep you cool. You'll also find booths with live parrots, alligators and snakes to hold and snap a photo with, for a fee.

Take a day cruise around Miami on one of the many sight-seeing tours leaving from Bayside Marina. Agents set up kiosks selling tour tickets, so walk to the bay area and find a representative. Tours include fiesta cruises, celebrity sight-seeing, Miami sight-seeing among others.
