In 1959 when Robert was six, his father gave him cucumbers from his crop to sell. No one bought any the first day. The second day, his father put up a sign saying "Robert is here", and the rest was history.

Thus the fruit stand with the unusual but quite catchy name was born. Today Robert's fruit stand sells fresh fruits, homemade canned items such as salsa and salad dressings, fresh milk shakes and key lime pies.

You can buy canned items at the store or online. Customers love the home made fruit butters, preserves, pickles, mustards, chutneys, salsa, candies, dips and hot sauces from Robert is Here. This family business even gives recipes out online for free. Gift baskets and gift certificates can also be purchased online.

Luckily in south Florida you can grow fruits and vegetables most of the year. Robert has a seasonal guide to let visitors known when their favorite treats are grown and sold. A lot of the fruits and vegetables sold at Robert is Here are grown by the family. Other crops are bought from local Homestead farmers and sold at the stand.

There are many tropical fruits for sale here, including mangoes, key limes, apple bananas, dragon fruit, avocados, lychees, papaya, mamey sapote, sugar apples, sapodilla, passion fruit, tamarind and water coconut.

On weekends November through March, you'll hear live music at the fruit stand from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Out back you can visit the animals. They've got goats, emus, geese and donkeys.

If you're craving fresh fruits from Robert is Here and you're not in south Florida, Robert will ship you whatever you need! Check the website or call the store for more details.
