Mansion Nightclub: Dress up and flash your cash
When Mansion opened its doors in February 2004, everybody who was anybody was waiting in line to shake their booty at this nightclub. Still today, the entrance line at timessnakes along the wall, with well-dressed gentlemen and scantily-dressed ladies waiting shoulder-to-shoulder for a chance to get in the door.
In its five years, Mansion has hosted A-list performers such as Prince, Britney Spears, and Velvet Revolver. P Diddy (among other big stars) has rented it for private parties.
When you step in the door to Mansion, the tall, colorful ceilings and elegant staircases will have you spinning with delight. The lights are dim, and the music is loud. It's one of those shiny places. The people are shiny, the walls are shiny, the bar is slick and shiny. The luxury is palpable.
Expect to wait in line, unless you can finagle your way through the VIP line. The Mansion doormen are very selective, so put in a little effort. Men, don't come in with a big group of guys — surround yourself with beautiful women. Ladies, don't dress for the beach, but dress for a chic and sexy night on the town.
Cover charges vary from zero to $25-$35. If you have a Florida or student ID, be sure to bring that, and you may get a discounted price for entry (but no promises).
Bottle service on the floor in front of the stage may be worth it for those with deep pockets. A two- to three-bottle minimum will most likely be in effect, and you can expect to drop $500-$1,500 on a bottle service.
DJs vary from '80s cover, to electronic and to hip-hop. Check the website to see what kind of music will be playing what night.
Although you can only hit Mansion Wednesday through Sunday with the regular crowd, this nightclub is available any day of the week to host your special event.
