Brickell Irish Pub: it's always St. Patty's Day

Aug 26, 2009

The Brickell Irish Pub opened with a bang in August 2009 next to Pieducks Pizza on South Miami Avenue. The first night it was so packed that you couldn't get anywhere near the doors. Now that the buzz has died down and you'll actually have some breathing room, come see what the fuss is about.

The wait staff at Brickell Irish Pub is decked out in green tops and plaid kilts. The tables and chairs are made from dark, strong wood and resemble an old-world lounge. The mirrors are ceiling high and streaked with gold embellishments. Golden candelabras adorn the walls and faded hardback books fill the shelves above the stage.

The pub has a fully stocked bar, and the drink menu boasts 40 types of whiskey.

A pint of draft beer is $6.25, and their numerous options include Blue Moon, Guinness, Stella Artois, Harp, Smithwick's, Carlsberg, Newcastle, Heineken, Samuel Adams, Presidente and Miller Lite.

Specialty cocktails include the Lychee Martini, Irish Hooker, Mojito Martini, French Martini, Rob Roy, Cosmopolitan, Margarita Up, Irish Melon Ball, Chocolate Martini and Black Irish.

If you're a Sunday sports lover, take advantage of the pub's flat screen TVs and large drink selection. Tuesdays try your luck at Poker Night. Check out the Wednesday night Karaoke jam where you can be your own rock star. Grab some quarters and meet your buddies for a friendly game of pool.

The pub has the expected bar food and some tasty surprises, including potato skins, mozzarella sticks, chicken wings, chicken tenders, shrimp cocktail, spinach and artichoke dip, fish and fries, beef sliders and delicious homemade burgers. Yummy dinner entrees include pan fried snapper, grilled salmon, seared shrimp, pan roasted chicken, New York strip steak and glazed baby back ribs.

Get your fill of greens with the shrimp cobb salad, Caesar salad, grilled skirt steak salad, chopped salad or green salad with your choice of grilled/blackened chicken, salmon, shrimp or mahi-mahi.

If you've got a sweet tooth, the pub serves up warm apple pie with vanilla ice cream, banana bread pudding, Bailey's Irish Cream cheesecake and chocolate cake with ice cream and strawberries.

The pub is available for rental for parties with up to 400 guests.
