Art Walk in the Grove: free fun for all
If you're tired of the usual dinner-and-a-movie rut, this fun and free community event is just the ticket.
The first Saturday of every month, head to the Grove for a wild night of art, music, drinks and fun. The party starts at 7 p.m. and lasts until 11 p.m.
Come to Mayfair in the Grove on November 7 and December 7 and enjoy free drink and food samplings, live music, exotic dance and martial arts displays. Sip on tasty samples of Don Eduardo Tequila, Kilo Kia Rum, Presidente beer, Aalchemia Vodka and more.
Each Art Stroll is different, but you're guaranteed culture and excitement through the performances and art.
Bring the kids out for some creative Saturday evening fun. Captain Art will lead the way as they partake in fun activities and a free arts and crafts class.
Thousands of works of art will be on display, with more than 40 local and international artists in attendance.
For more information on the Coconut Grove Art Stroll, visit the event's MySpace page. For more information on events at Mayfair's Promenade, click here. Other fun events include Family Days, Casino Nights, Sunday in the Grove, Mayfair Antique Market and Friday Happy Hour on the Promenade.
Side Note: If you want to party in the Grove for Halloween this year, read more here. The 2009 Grove's Halloween smash will include a Thriller dance tribute, several DJs and live music, an open bar and lots of prizes. Tickets are $30, and they will probably sell out.
