Calling all flower children! Grab your steady and head up to Greynolds Park for a far-out day in the sun. The 6th Annual Greynolds Park Love-In is a flashback to the 1960s with groovy vendors and hippies new and old.

On Sunday, May 17, 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., North Miami Beach remembers when Greynolds Park was a meeting place in the '60s for poetry readings, jam sessions, and peaceful demonstrations.

Family-friendly activities include vintage Volkswagen Bug exhibits, '60s-costume contest, Frisbie-throwing and hula-hoop contests, '60s-style vendors, T-shirt tie-dying, arts and crafts, hippie photo-ops, a Kids Fun Zone side-walk chalk, and live entertainment.

Mitch Ryder and the Detroit Wheels will headline, and you'll hear their hits "Devil With a Blue Dress On", "Sock it to Me Baby", and "Jenny Takes a Ride." Other entertainment is scheduled, including performances by the Miami Rock Ensemble, Rewind, BrokeDown, and Blackstar.

Admission is free, parking is $7, and no coolers are allowed inside the park.

Sponsors include Miller Lite, the Miami Herald, Smoke and Spice Unique Catering, Majic 102.7, and the Travelodge Monaco.
