Texas de Brazil: all the meat you can eat
Texas de Brazil is located on Alton Road near Monty's. The view of the marina is breathtaking, especially if you're there to see the sunset. When the sun goes down, the lights of downtown Miami provide the perfect setting for a royal feast.
Texas de Brazil is a Brazilian Steakhouse, and if you've never experienced one before, you're in for a treat. Although the meal itself may be a tad pricey, the service, the quality and the amount of food you receive is completely worth the dough.
Brazilian Steakhouses are buffet style and charge a flat rate. At Texas de Brazil, each adult meal costs $47. The salad and side bar has over 40 items, including steamed asparagus, rice and beans, grilled Portobello mushrooms, spicy surimi sushi, shrimp ceviche, salad with homemade dressings, grilled tomatoes, Greek olives, soups, garlic mashed potatoes, sweet fried bananas and much more.
Once you've gotten all your sides, sit down for a meat experience like no other. Your server will give you a small card, one side red, one side green. Meat servers will bring around specialty meats on large skewers with large knives, ready to deliver these lucious meats directly to your plate. When you decide you'd like to try some, flip your card to green, for "go".
Don't be surprised if servers swarm in from all directions to put meat on your plate. At Texas de Brazil, you'll try parmesan chicken, bacon wrapped chicken, beef ribs, barbecued ribs, pork, sausage, juicy prime rib, lamb, filet mignon wrapped in bacon, filet mignon bites and more. Meat is cooked over an open flame grill and served straight from the skewer.
The wine cellar is quite extensive, and their signature drink from the well-stocked bar is "The Caipirinha", made with sugar cane rum, cane sugar, crushed ice and one fresh lime. Enjoy a hand rolled cigar after dinner or an aged scotch from the bar. Desserts include chocolate mousse, Brazilian Flan, cheesecake, key lime pie, carrot cake, pecan pie, coconut chess pie and more. If you have an inch of room left in your belly, try to fit in the dessert.
Children 6 years and under eat free, and kids 7-12 enjoy a half price meal. Drinks and dessert are not included in the buffet price. Gratuity of %15 is included in the bill. Since this place is all-you-can-eat, Texas de Brazil does not allow patrons to take unfinished food from the restaurant.
Their second Miami location is at Dolphin Mall.
