At the corner of South Miami Avenue and Coral Way, Piola is lit up and ready to serve you. Inside, relish in the modern decor. The gray walls are accented with long multicolored lights, and the ceiling adds an industrial dynamic with its shiny exposed piping. The multicolored seat cushions and accented walls give Piola at Brickell a retro feel with a modern twist.

Stay cool in the outdoor seating area with large red umbrellas and strategically placed fans.

Ladies, visit Piola on Thursday nights after 8 p.m. and get free wine with the purchase of an entree.

Every Friday from 5-8 p.m. take advantage of the Happy Hour of free finger foods, Italian cold cuts and tasty appetizers. Beer, wine and sake drinks are available for purchase as well. Beer is $5, with a selection of Beck's Light, Miller Light, Stella Artois, Peroni, Red Stripe, Sam Adams, Corona and Heineken. Wine and sake drinks are around $6.

Piola pizzas have thin crust and are baked in their brick oven. These 11-inch pizzas are large enough to share, and prices range from $9-$15.

Piola specialty pizzas include the Rio de Janeiro (chicken, catupiry cheese, parsley, tomato sauce and mozzarella), the Venezia (ham, black pitted olives, onion, boiled eggs, tomato sauce and mozzarella) and the Mareverde (shrimp, brie cheese, arugula, tomato sauce and mozzarella). Classic pizzas like the Honolulu, Margarita, Capricciosa, Parma and Quattro Formaggi are available as well. With a menu of more than 40 tomato sauce pizzas and about 15 white pizzas, you'll have plenty of options.

Pastas are yummy as well, with dishes such as Pennette Integrali (whole wheat pasta, cream, ricotta, spinach and cinnamon), Gnocci Pompei (tomato sauce and basil), Penne Rosate (smoked salmon, tomato sauce, cream and parsley) and Fusilli Otranto (garlic oil, chili peppers and broccoli), $10-$14.

Order take-out, or visit the Miami Beach location on Alton Road. All locations offer free Wi-Fi, so you can work and surf while you eat.
