Perricone's Marketplace & Cafe: a breath of fresh air
Perricone's Marketplace in Brickell is a two-for-one — a restaurant and marketplace. The front porch holds a bar where you can sit and drink or have dessert or appetizers.
Step inside the rustic wooden doors and behold the marketplace, with sandwiches, pastries, cakes, desserts, ice creams, and other tempting sweets. Many wines are also available for purchase in the Marketplace. Just pop in, order, and get something to go from the friendly Perricone's Marketplace staff.
If you're stopping in for a full meal, the wait staff will lead you through the indoor marketplace and out to the back covered patio to dine in relaxation. In the evening the place lights up with small white lights, and the plants that surround you will make you feel like you're dining in an enchanted forest rather than in downtown Brickell. The back patio holds lots of guests, so big parties are welcome.
From 5-7 p.m. every day enjoy Happy Hour on the front porch, where drinks are half price. Ladies, grab your girlfriends and head to Perricone's on Wednesday night, their infamous Ladies Night. With the purchase of an entree from 5-11 p.m., females receive four free drinks, with a choice of Pinot Grigio, Merlot, Bellini's, or Prosecco. You'll definitely get your money's worth.
The dinner menu offers many pasta dishes to choose from. The chicken parmigiana with pasta pomodoro ($17), the homemade potato gnocchi ($16), the seafood linguine ($19), and the penne with grilled chicken ($16) are just a few options. All pasta dishes can be substituted with whole wheat pasta.
Surf and turf entrees from the grill include rack of lamb ($26), yellowfin ahi tuna steak ($25), pan seared salmon ($20), veal parmigiana ($25), free range and roasted chicken ($15-$17), and filet mignon ($30).
The lunch menu includes pastas and limited items from the grill. Sandwiches run about $11 and include steak sandwiches, portabello, meatball parmigiana, French wedge, and the angry Sicillian.
Drinks include wine and beer, soft drinks, teas, cappuccino, coffee, espresso, juice, and water. Specialty cocktails ($12) like peach ojitos, margaritas, melon tini, and the Brickell Village Cosmo can spice up your dinner.
Sunday brunch is served between 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. for about $18 per person. The Marketplace is open extended hours, usually about 7:30 a.m. for contintental breakfast and purchase of delicious treats.
Catering is available at Perricone's or at your private event. Power outage after a storm? Come to Perricone's for a bite and rejoice in their generator and a fresh meal.
