About Miami, Florida

Miami is regarded as a world city by the Globalization and World Cities Study Group and Network (GaWC), based primarily at Loughborough University in Loughborough, Leicestershire, England. What tourists see when they come to Miami is an agglomeration of the following separate areas: Miami, Miami Beach, South Beach, Key Biscayne, Bal Harbor, Coconut Grove, and more. It’s an overwhelming place to visit at first and there’s more than enough to do. All you have to do is figure out where to start. By the way, don’t confuse Miami with Miami Beach. They are two separate cities. There are 1,400 multinational corporations that call Miami home to their Latin American operations. That signifies a cultural heritage anyone in the country can access when they want to find out how rich and varied Latin life is.

Miami was big musically in the 1970s when disco and other dance hits were king. That’s the way they liked it then, so to speak. Currently, for sports, we enjoy the Miami Dolphins, Miami Heat, Florida Panthers, Florida Marlins, and the Miami Tropics.
