5^Th Avenue latin Jazz /Quinta Avenida

 5^th Avenue is everything salsa started out to be. Established in 1996 this sextet has the power to get you on your feet at a price that won’t break your budget. The versatility of this organization makes it perfect for everything from weddings to dance club. Our state of the art equipment assures clear and powerful sound at our performances. New York is the birthplace of Mambo, Latin Jazz, and Salsa.

 This band brings together the elements of the old and then new.  In fact there are a few members of the group that have played integral roles in the development of this musical genre we call SALSA.

 5th Avenue has just released its first production entitled La 5ta Avenida “Los Confinados” under the label- Shanghai Productions. This CD can be seen and purchased on (Decsacarga.com and Combo records.com.)

 Piano/Bass/Timbal (Drum)/Congas (Drum)/Vibraphone Singer (Minor Percussion)

 1       Juan Rivera- (Singer/Composer/Director) Over 40 years in the music industry. Juan is truly a one man band. Whether it is full percussion, bass ,piano ,guitar, cuatro Puertorriqueño, Vibes, etc. he only knows how to do one thing. And that’s jam. Juan spent his formative years in music living in Puerto Rico. Where he was directly influenced by: Willie Rosario, Chembo Cora, Bobby Valentin, and Yovanni Hidalgo to name a few. These influences allow Juan the duality of performing both New York and Puerto Rico’s Salsa and Jazz styles. The true Salsa aficionado can feel and tell the difference.
