RAUL CREMATA

Raul Cremata was born in Havana, in 1960. His family immigrated to the New York City in 1967 where he was exposed to great art at an early age. In 1973 the family moved to Miami. Raul was taken under the wing of Cuban artist Lesver de Quiros. In 1982 he obtains a bachelors degree in Business with majors in accounting and international commerce. In the mid 80’s Raul studied ceramic sculpture with Rafael Consuegra an art professor of Miami Dade Community College.

Raul Cremata has been a fixture of the Miami art scene for more than 25 five years, not only as an artist but also as an avid collector. Currently he and his wife own Cremata Fine Art, a gallery specializing in contemporary Cuban and Latin American art. Mr. Cremata is also the president of the Calle Ocho Art District Association.
