La Progresiva Presbyterian School Reviews

Unlike all the other reviews, I will give you the pros and cons attending La Progresiva. There aren't many activities. However, it is not the teachers and faculty that lack interest activities but the students who lack enthusiasm. Although I wasn't able to be on a team or a club, there were still opportunities to get involved, (e.g. basketball games, talent shows, field day, Christmas plays, etc.). The curriculum is not very challenging at times but if I could ask the teacher to explain it and he/she would because he/she had the time and patience. It is strict, in result; there are no skipping, drugs, violence. Graduating from this school changed my life forever. I know have faith in myself and others. I hope for the future.

This school is alright the teachers are pretty strict.

La Progresiva has to be one of the best schools i've been to. The teachers there are great at doing there jobs , they never give up in students when they don't know something.La Progresiva is a FUN SCHOOL .We're all a big family there , im glad i attend that school. =)

Well im a student in La Progresiva. I like it alot. i dont understand why you parents are discriminating about them. Thry are doing their jobs correctly. i like these teachers alot. And im a new student at this school. And believe that they are doing the best that they can

Hello everyone,im a student at La Progresiva and im very happy to be here.Yes, we might not have the most wonderfull teachers, programs, extra corricular activities, but as we are we are like family. This school is to excel into the future in being great enlightened people with positive attitud.I refuse to say this is an awful school,on the contrary this is a school that prepares you to be a better person in life and i think many people aren`t given that privilege. We have teachers and also our principal and vice principals that have faith in each and every student and help them every step of their way.If you really care about your child in having a positive attitud towards their future and to honor your family with respect and loyalty then this is the school for them.As we say, from la prog always and still remains from la prog .Thank you .

The biggest mistake i made was to teach at this school. they have no class and no dignity less no order. you know what it is sad is that they call themselves christians, when there is so much immoraility in that school. Don't take your children to that place.

I am happy to say that La Prgoresiva is a superb school. Yes, it is small and not much when it comes to too many fancy gadgets. My son went to an all boy Jesuit school-- and he was miserable. We were not up to par financially as other families. At La Progresiva he continues to excel, has many friends and will graduate this year. I can praise the school, teachers and admisnitrators enough for their hardwork and dedication. Perhaps if parents were more involved in the school the whole community would realize what a great institution it is.

No activities, bad teachers

As you can see in others reviews, La Progresiva Presbyterian School is not really a school. I made a mistake when I putted my children there.

I'm not a parent nor am I a teacher. I am a graduating student of the La Progresiva 2006 class. As a student I have personally experienced the workings of the school and I must say, the review before my own is quite wrong. Yes, it may be true that the sports programs, whenever available, we lacking but they were there and they were competetive. The basketball team would often compete against the teams of other christian/private schools in the area. As for a lack of the art, this is partially due to the students inactivity or lack of showing interest in such programs. I say this because during my 10th grade year I became upset about this issue, voiced myself to the principle and suggested that an afterschool drama group be started. Within two days we had our program. I only have two words to describe the teachers; They care.

To whom it may concern let me tell you that this school is the worst I have ever seen. I rather have my child in a public school than in this school. They have no sports activity for kids, no music, no art. And if they do is very poor. As far as academic the worst I have ever seen. The kids there do not learn nothing. I believe that those are not real teachers, and the ones that are good leave the school. The ladies they have in the office to my believe and for what I have seen are not qualified to work with kids or deal with parents.
