Hollywood Hills Elementary School Reviews

In my opinion, Hollywood Hills Elementary is an all-around 5-star, A-rated school. Both of my children have attended since Kindergarten and I can see firsthand that the children come first. Not only from and educational and social aspect but safety and security as well. Our Principal Mrs. Roberts and Assistant Principal Mrs. Hazelcorn go above and beyond the call of duty to make students and parents feel welcome and proud to be a part of this wonderful learning environment. My hats are off also to the teachers and great staff who always have a smile and are willing to lend a hand no matter how busy they are. The PTA, which I have been involved in since my children started 5 years ago at HHE, is a stellar example of leadership and involvement in the community. Mrs. Whatley the PTA President gets an A++ for her dedication and hard work.

My son is enrolled in Hollywood Hills and we just love it. The staff and the PTA is very family oriented, easy to communicate with, and helpful!

When we moved to Hollywood 7 years ago (just prior to my daughters birth) we did a lot of research on the schools and chose our neighborhood because of Hollywood Hills Elementary. It has more than lived up to our expectations. Our daughter will be entering second grade this year and is reading on a third/fourth grade level and her math skills amaze me every day. She is thriving there. The teachers are among the best I have ever encountered and the level of involvement of the parents and PTA is amazing. I have friends who are teachers at other schools around south Florida and they are also very impressed with our school, the teachers, the administrators and our PTA. I mourn the day my daughter will have to leave our school 'family' and move on to middle school. I hope our experience after HHE will be half as rewarding.

This school has a high involvement in parent participation. This have a great technology curriculum that encompasses the entire student body, grades K-5. From what I ve seen, the staff at this school are high achievers who now how to reach their students.

Good school, thenrichment program is great; however, there are some issues with communication between paretns and teachers.

I feel the staff is really great with the kids. Their dedication to the school and students do not go unnotice by parents like myself. I feel very proud to be part of the family at hollywood hills elementary. I personally feel the bond every year with my child's teacher rather its pertaining to behavior or academics there is definetly a comfort zone to discuss any thing. That may be one of the reasons I contribute a lot of time at the school making copies, doing bulletein boards, assiting with picture day etc. The quality of the school is superior because the parents don't mind pitching in or taking the lead for any activity. They deserve a aaa degree in my book, keep up the good work.

Great school. Lots of stuff to do. Great teachers

The teachers and the principal at the school are very helpful. My major complaint with the school is that it is overcrowded. When my son begun attending school there in 2000, the school had a seperate art and music room, which have now been converted into classrooms to try and ease the overcrowding.

Great elementary school. Wish my child could stay there through middle school. Excellent teachers and very involved PTA.

As for me I think it's a great school and Im very pleased with my sons grades as well as the teachers. He is in the 1st grade and his reading is in the 3rd grade level.

The teachers and the curiculum seem to be very well chosen.

HHE is, again, an 'A' rated school, which provided my three children with gifted and highly gifted programs, teachers that truly care about their students, very friendly staff, community involvement for children, fun (and very affordable)after care program, and the largest elementary school field in Broward County, allowing for HHE's planned second story expansion.

My child is in the highly gifted program at this school, and I must say he has really been challenged this year. I hope they keep this program around.

HHES is a great 'hometown' school. We, the parents, work very hard with the faculty in keeping apprised of all issues regarding our children's education, and the teaching staff is of the highest quality.

Hollywood Hills provides a wonderful education for all the students. The principal always has a smile and knows her students. Parental support is tremendous. I highly recommend this school.

The school really focuses on trying to getting parent involvement. They really want the best for your child

My kindergardener learned how to read! Need I say more? It's not kool-aid and grahm crackers anymore. These kids are taking spelling tests and reading books. Great school!
