“I'm currently a student at McNicol and it doesn't interest me.However to my perspective this school is a school of great oppurtunity.The program that they have of science and language is awesome.Each student in the magnet program is able to take either science or language as a course at least twice a day.Ive only been at McNicol for a year now and already I am able to decipher a lot of spanish.The sports teams there is unbeatable and the teachers are of quality. Though McNicol has turned into a D school but I think its the students faults for barely caring.One of the reasons why I don't like this school is because its not that safe to me(to many incidents) and I feel that the current magnet coordinator is to strict.”

“I have been at McNicol for 3 years, this being my last, and overall it's a well balanced facility. The teachers do what they aim to do, and the students learn along with that intention. We have imporved drastically in the past few months and hopefully this will continue.”

“I went to this school last year and it was raw! we were the best year yet!we all danced at the dance at the end of the year,we treated the field trips like we were living for our lasts day and to cherish every bit of it.Mr.Eames and burgess&turner were the realist!oh and o'john was a great math teacher,she was the ojizzle.And ms.Johnson was raw too,go ahead girl!”

“McNicole is a great school with new leadership. The teachers care and are completely involved in the school and the students. However the parents do not participate in their childrens education.”

“McNicol Middle School is a very diverse school. It has two wonderful magnet programs, science/pre-engineering which gives students the opportunity to participate in hands on field trips and class projects.And the IAB magnet which allows students to learn either japenese, spanish, or french and the countries culture. The school also has school sports. With its year round schedule it allows students to get a break every three months.”

“Mcnicol has come along way,but still has a long way to go.This school has the potential to be dynamic,however due to the lack of support from parents it is a up hill battle to make any progress. The school caters to 1656 students and at any pta meeting or any function that the school gives only a hand full of parents attend. It is sad to see such poor support for our childrens education. We want to hold teachers accountable that's fine,however parents need to be held accountable too.Mcnicol has some good teachers however due to the lack of discipline, disruptive behavior constantly impedes educational success. Parents make a difference. Sac meeting held the third tues of every month media center 6:30pm.”
