Coconut Grove Elementary School Reviews

feels like a private school. kids are all very friendly and from diverse backgrounds. the smaller school size allows for a lot more feild trips and evening events. my son loves it here!

Our child transferred here from a school in a fancier area and we have been extremely happy. There is tremendous parent involvement, excellent teachers, and a great staff!

Some of the teachers are good but not very friendly. The gifted program quality depends on which teacher you get, and that is sad. The music program is excellent, art is not exsiting and PE is also great. The parents who are involve are always the same!!

The quality of the academics programs are outstanding and the parent involvement is increasing every year. The International program will further enhance the school. This school is small and the enviroment is of a private school. Everyone knows each other.

The academic program is outstanding. The teachers are very professional. The school focuses on the educational well-being of all students.

I pulled my child out of a magnent elem. school and put her into coco elem. I am very impressed wih the teacher/administration knowledge of the students. You are not just a number, after 2 weeks, many staff members called my child by name and knew 'her story'. Pick up is wonderful. When your student sees the parent, they walk to their car. There is not an overprotective pick-up system. This gives the kids a sense of responsibility. Some schools, you have to practically show your id when you pick them up and it's almost the end of the year. The staff has been there forever. This is important to me. The teacers and staff have an impressive tenure. When teachers and admin. have frequent changes, that's not a good sign for me. I went to school there over 20 years ago, and there are still the same teachers.

Excellent school, A variety of activities.
