Palm Springs North Elementary School Reviews

I am a proud parent of three children, two whom previously attended PSN. But now are attending Middle and High School. My daughter is now in first grade, I really have been blessed my experience so far with the teachers and staff have been great! There's definetly one person at PSN, 'Mrs. Moye' who I can say has been the best!!! I've never met such a loving and dedicated person. Ms. Moye thank you for all your help, you will be missed. Ms. Chi

My Daughter just finished 4th Grade with Mr. Leon and Ms Jones. Mr. Leon is a dedicated, hard working and patient teacher that knows how to bring out the very best of our Kids. He has taught my daughter to give her optimum and that she is capable to achieve greatness if she puts her mind into it (taught her how to write great essays:) He is always willing to provide assistance whenever help is needed. Last, but not least Ms. Jones the Science/Math teacher demonstrated day a by day her passion for her assignments and knew how to make our children more interested on this subjects. She found ways for us parents to spend time with our kids (Loved the projects!) :-) Mr. Leon and Ms Jones are a perfect example of Great Teachers. Thank you! Y. Rosello

My daughter is a transfer student to Plam Springs North. It has turned out to be one of the worse decisions I have ever made. She is in one of the advanced classes at the school and if the education she is receiving in the advanced class it would be a disgrace to see what the students in regular classes are learning. I will do everything in my power to make sure that my child is transferred from Palm Springs North Elementary.

My daughter just started 4th.grade with Mrs.Jones and Mr.Leon. Even though She's having some problems with some homework (writing)she is getting better. Mr.Leon has been extremely great and patient with her. Mrs.Jones as far as I know is been really good. Last year my daughter's teacher was Mrs.Grace Gonzales and I was really happy with her job. She made my daughter tried her best in everything she had to do and my daughter did. I am really happy with this school,I know some moms that complain a lot about the percentage that the teachers require to get an A (my daughter got 95% in a writing essay and got a B, this made a mom really unhappy) but I think that if the teachers require more from the kids, the kids eventually will arise to their expectations. I really want my 2 other kids to go to this school. Ana,their receptionist is the nicest person you'll ever meet.

Nice school, clean and quiet area

My children have attended PSN Elementary for 3/4 years. I have no complaints. It is an outstanding school in a wonderful very family oriented community. Keep up the great work!

Great school, many extracurricular activities, such as ballet, music, languages.

I have mixed emotions about the school since I have 2 children at different levels. My daughter, who entered 4th grade only made it through the first day. Although there was to be 26 children in the classroom, we found that because of space limitation they forced 2 class rooms in the music room with 2 teachers, each teaching different subjects. There is NO way that a child can optimize their education in classroom where they can not see the boards, barely hear the teachers. On the other hand, i found the Kindergarten having a much better set up. Although a bit crowded for this grade level, I found the teachers to be more cooperative with the children, specially my 5 year old, who needed the extra attention. Thank YOU Mrs. Mahoy and Ms. Fernandez.

This school after first grade don't have a individual ESOL program, the student with ESOL level 2,4,5 or English speakers going together in the same class and they don't use the specific strategies for this type of children.

The school does not not provide 'After school tutoring programs' for kids that are below average. Also, there reading programs are not helping kids with reading problems.

This school has done nothing but try to intimidate my daughter into fear. For the last 3 yrs of her attendance, the first day of class has always been a massive confusion and she has never been placed in the correct class. If your child complains about his/her teacher, listen. Trust in your child. These are your children!

This school was a Blue Ribbon School and has achieved an 'A' rating for 3 out of the 5 years. The Principal is very week weak and one of the major areas of opportunity. Dr. Hurns who left for bob Graham hurt the school by take some of the top teachers with her. The art, sports ans extracurricalr activites are light. parent involvement is average to above average. Overall, school is making strides to regain status
