Hialeah Gardens Elementary School Reviews

My son is currently attending Hialeah Garden Elementry and we as parents can not feel more happy and bless to have such a great school in our neighborhood. My son has had incredible teachers each of them helping my son out in their own unique way and for that we are truly greatful, so from our family we would like to take this oppurtunity to thank all the teachers who have given my son a great education, oppurtunities and have seen in him great potential. Thank you Ms. Bedoya, Mrs.Chislom, Mrs. Holand and of course Mr.Long. Thank you for offering me as a parent great communication. I would also like to thank someone who helped my son a lot Ms. Pazo (tutor) she was a great help and a great person. We would also like to thank Blanquita for her hard work Hialeah Garden good work!

It's amazing how the newest review is dated in the year 2005, when Mr. Dotres was the Principal! Since he left the school has changed dramatically for the worst! The Principal, Ms. Bernal is horrible. She has no people skills at all. Does not know how to treat children not parents. Diciplines by intimidation. It truly amazes me that someone like this could hold such a position! School morale is at an all-time LOW! Teacher morale is on the floor. Many children habben removed from the school since Ms. Bernal became the principal. I pulled both of my children out and transferred them to another school. I could not stand another year with her administration or should I say lack of. Great teachers but most are unhappy! Right now, the rating I would give this school is '0'. It's a shame! Many many parents are unhappy.

I am very pleased with the academics, discipline, and security. Classrooms are large and kept clean. My daughter is in the bilingual program and this is excellent.

This school is very safe, the staff are nice. The campus is clean and organized. Afterschool care program is great.

Me and my daughter absolutely love Hialeah Gardens elementary school, her first teacher was Mrs. Ricardo, a kindergarten teacher that did so much for her, she will remember Msr Ricardo for ever, 1st grade Ms Chisolm an excellent and very dedicated teacher and her actual 2nd grade teacher is Ms Valdez an incredible sweet and exceptional teacher. My daughter today is an a student with 'principal honor roll' since 1st grade and 100% attendance since 1st garde as well. 'However, the after care program is in control in my opinion by one or 2 persons that do not really cooperate with parents, I still in the waiting list, which is affecting my job and home stability and economy. This should be improved and more coordinated'

I have experienced only but the best at Hialeah Gardens Elementary School. The teachers as well as the staff have exceeded my expectations. Unfortunately Mr. Dotres is not here anymore to continue the marvelous job he did, but we trust that Ms. Bernal follows in his footsteps. My youngest child started Kindergarten this year and had a wonderful first day of school. Ms. Bedoya made an excellent first impression and he was thrilled by all the activities that went on. Both my boys are very happy. The only negative aspect that I hope they work on a little harder is that I feel that our kids are not getting the incentives that they strive so hard to achieve. I have noticed that they are not rewarded nearly as often as they should be. Other than that this is A-1-A school that is highly recommended by me all around!! C.C.

Hialeah gardens elementary is a great school, both of my children are currently attending this school and they are very happy, the teachers are great, when my daughter was below grade level in reading they placed her in a tutoring class evey saturday from 9 A.M. To 12 P.M. for several weeks at no cost to me. The talent shows that they have are great, and the pta is very involved with raising money for school events, the aftercare that they provide is the best, they make sure children have the homework done before the end of the day and give them the help they need with homework, I am a happy parent knowing my kids are attending such an attentive school.

My son Adrian attended this school for five years. He first went there unable to form sentences and a very limited vocabulary. His first grade teacher Mrs. Werner performed miracles with him. He learned his name, phone#, alphabets, math and I could go on. She was truly a Godsend for me. Throughout his attendance there, he continued to progress but Mrs. Werner was his stepping stone to cognitive and social awareness to the world. I could never be more grateful and thankful to this school and their ESE program and the wonderful people there who touched our lives so positively. Thank you.

I love this school! My daughter was lucky enough to participate in the Pre-K program that it offers. The teachers Ms. Chaviano and Mrs. Pacheco were incredible, my daughter loved the enviroment they created. The classroom is always impeccable, classes are varied and the teachers really show they care. Security at the school is top notch and at this day and age that is very important.

This is the type of example of how a great principal can make a diference in the entire system. Discipline, not only for children, parents and teachers included, High moral values and dedication has made this school an example to any other school in the State. The autistic program is superior. Mr. Dotres you have done a great job, please keep it up.

This school has done a complete turn around since our new Principal, Jos Dotres, came on board a couple of years ago. It's clean, secure, safe, & family friendly. The teachers are A-1! After having children in this school since 1996, I can honestly say that now, I feel tranquil and relaxed when I leave my children there in the morning. Mr. Dotres has done an excellent job of taking this school from a Principal that ran it into the ground and turning it into a fun place for learning for all students. Thank you Mr. Dotres for putting our children first!

This is a wonderful school. Its a big family, where everyone knows who belongs on the premises and who doesn't. I feel confident knowing that my daughter is in a safe school. Its a shame that middle school has not been added, since we have no good middle schools in the area. Thank you Mr. Dotres for doing a great job.

Hialeah Gardens Elementary is an excellent school. The Principal, Mr. Dotres does a marvelous job keeping this school safe and rewarding for our children. All the security rules being implemented at the school are great. The teachers and the security team at Hialeah Gardens let us feel at ease when we leave our children in the morning. Thanks Mr. Dotres for a wonderful job!!

Hialeah Gardens is an excellent school and the teachers are marvelous. The school is clean, safe and is perfectly organized. I highly reccomend this school to parents. I hope the 6-8 grades are added and added quickly. The middle schools in this area are no good. It would be wonderful for students to complete middle school comfrotably in a school where they are not being neglected nor coming home with a black eye. would be glad to do anything i can to support this school. Mr. Dotres, your doing an excellent job.

I feel very confident that my daughter is in a school where the discipline is as important as the education. Attention given to the students is so wonderful. I give credit to the teachers, the staff, and the principal.
