“This is an excellent school and will be even better once the International Baccalaureate program is fully implemented. Parental support and involvement is outstanding. Very good teachers and administrators (especially the principal), wide range of after school activities offered, and excellent school culture-- what more could a student or parent want? There is no need to send your child to private school.”

“Our wonderfull Principal,teachers,office aids,volunters, had change our community and help to shape a new generation of childrens with love for learning and opening their world to new adventures. Why I love it?, because I see the change on every child, and if any are in need Our Principal goes out of her way get help for the kids,even if she has to do it her self. She is not afraid to ask, because it's all for the kids.”

“This was our first year at South Pointe This was our first year at South Pointe Elementary and I loved it. I moved my kids from private school to a public school and it was a great decision. One of my kids is going to gifted next year, the other will stay in the regular program and both are excellent. I highly recommend this school!”

“I am a parent of a gifted student that has been in the school from first grade and I can only say putting my child in this school has truly been a great decision. Now that he is going to middle school I think that he has all the tools to be be a SUCCESS. All the staff in the school make a joint effort to make this happen.”

“I couldn't be more pleased with the education my daughter is receiving at South Pointe. I like that there is a good music and art program, and that the PTA has really done an amazing job in improving the quality of teh aftercare program and is beautifying the school with murals, artowrk and new shade trees. This school is loved and it shows in the students' achievement levels.”

“This is a great school! My child has developed and learned much while here. Before comnig here she was at an accredited day care, had preschool and preK. It's relly important to take your children to preschool. The kids now days are pretty advanced. I can recall learning colors and shapes in kindergarten back in my days... even had nap time. One of the great things you can do to help prepare your child for the new grade they're going into, is to google for example 'what's taught in kindergarten, etc.' Play w/ it until you get what you need. I'm telling you, use this as a skelton during the summer and the school year can be an easier adjustment for your child. Back to the school, there's lots of differnt after school activities and there's a great after school care service.”

“I have a daughter in K, 1st & 2nd grade. We relocated to MB in Dec. from the West coast of Fl. I was hesitant at first to place my children into a 'public school'. Well, South Ponite Elementary is not your ordinary school. It is one of the best decisions I have made for my childrens education. My two older daughters have been on the Principals Honor Roll list twice now. Next year, two of my daughters are entering into the gifted program. The teachers are above and beyond. The staff at the school is wonderful with the children. And the Principal..... she is one of a kind! Not much gets by her or any of them for that matter. This is a A+ Public School! - South Point Parent”

“South Pointe Elementary is a great school. My oldest two kids attended there and my youngest is still in that school. I think overall the teachers are great, even though some like to take a lot of personal days and your kids keep getting substitutes from time to time.It is a small school so everybody knows everybody overthere. They have a gifted program that is very good too. The school works very hard to keep their 'A' grade, which it translates into heavy preparation for the FCAT tests. The school also provides tutoring for those kids that need extra help with math or reading. I think South Pointe is a very good choice in the dade county public schools system.”

“My kids loves the school. We have been in the school for about 8 years; we have seen the changes and the new programs to help students and parents with homework, reading,Fcat and so much more. Teachers are great. We have a show on Halloween where every class show their customs. Later on the week we have a party for parents and students. We have also Chess Class. Our teacher pick the kids from every class (best grades). This keep them motivated and is so much fun.”

“My child had been in this school for 5 years; I have the best opinion of the academic programs and the people who works there, they have arts programs, a wonderful after school program plus a very familiar and warm involvement in the child personal life. The teachers are great with ample experience , most of them bilingual English-Spanish and always in top of their students. I am really sad that my son has to change school now he is finishing 6th Grade.”

“Located in a very up-and-comming location in South Beach. Many new families are moving to the area. Very community oriented & international. THe schools art and music program is excellent. Students seem very happy & supportive of each other.”
